What's included in the scuff sand existing paint service?
This service is not intended for vessels which require major preparation, or for a vessel’s bottom which needs to be “stripped”. Priced per Gallon of paint which is Interlux Bottomkote NT bottom paint and shall include ALL necessary tape, brushes, rollers, sandpaper, chemicals, and other necessary materials needed to perform the service.
What's included in the deep sand existing paint service?
This service is intended for vessels which require major preparation, or for vessel’s bottom which needs to be sanded through several layers of paint to achieve a quality prepared surface to apply new paint. Priced per Gallon of paint which is Interlux Bottomkote NT bottom paint and shall include ALL necessary tape, brushes, rollers, sandpaper, chemicals, and other necessary materials needed to perform the service.
What's included in the sodablast paint service?
Sand or Sodablast unpainted fiberglass or previously painted surfaces down to gel coat to prepare surface for epoxy barrier coat. Clean bottom to remove all sanding dust, wax and other contaminates. This ensures a high quality bond for the barrier coat.
Apply five coats of interprotect barrier coat. While the fifth barrier coat is still tacky the first bottom paint coat is applied to ensure a strong bond between materials. The second and third coats of paint are applied after the first has dried. Priced per Gallon of paint which is Interlux Bottomkote NT bottom paint and shall include ALL necessary tape, brushes, rollers, sandpaper, chemicals, and other necessary materials needed to perform the service.
Am I being charged for the complete service now?
Absolutely NOT! You are currently being charged a 10% deposit and the balance will be billed upon completion of service. On a case by case basis, we may charge your card to cover the cost of parts and materials, and then bill the balance upon completion of service.
How will I know when my service is scheduled?
When your service is scheduled you should receive an email or phone call notifying you.
Is Kompletely Kustom Marine insured to work on my boat?
KKM is insured to work on all makes, models, and sizes of vessels.
How long does this service normally take?
The service itself is normally completed within 1-5 business days, however there may be a slight delay in beginning service depending upon what our current backlog of work is.
Can I request other services to be completed at the same time as my bottom painting service?
Absolutely! We would be happy to help you complete any other service needs that you may have.
What Happens if you find problems or issues while performing the bottom paint service?
We will create a list of any issues that we find and that will be transcribed onto your final invoice for review. If you would like us to resolve any of those issues, you can simply request us to do so.
